mending

Bringing past and present together through intentionally assembled and organized botanicals, found imagery, bold imaginative colors, and additive and subtractive marks. The imagery is specific to the objects, people, and historical context they bare. These works focus on layering, not hiding, and invite us to engage with these raw, incomplete stories of healing.

The process of these works features a play of positive and negative space, thoughtfully deciding on which pieces fit together and are allowed the privilege of sharing space with abstract shapes and translucent or opaque windows.
