making space; working through, 2021

Picture
detail, storm coming, 9 x 12" - SOLD
making space, 2021
This collection reflects the space we need to find in order to engage in deep work.  More commonly, we deflect, ignore, distract from the trauma we have endured. The imagery mirrors the moments in time, while the expressive marks reflect the internal movement as experienced in those moments. As we sit with and confront our own personal and collective trauma, the sensory relationships we absorb and experience through nature provides us space needed to begin our healing journey.
working through, 2021
This collection reflects the work needed to go through as we explore both internal and external relationships.  The imagery mirrors the moments in time, while the expressive marks reflect the internal movement as experienced within those moments. As we work through our own personal and collective trauma, the sensory relationships we engage with in nature allow us space to navigate through.
